Are You Eligible For Veterans Benefits?

soldier on guardA person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable may qualify for VA health care benefits.

Reservists and National Guard members may also qualify for VA health care benefits if they were called to active duty (other than for training only) by a Federal order and completed the full period for which they were called or ordered to active duty.

Minimum Duty Requirements:

Veterans who enlisted after Sept. 7, 1980, or who entered active duty after Oct. 16, 1981, must have served 24 continuous months or the full period for which they were called to active duty in order to be eligible.

This minimum duty requirement may not apply to Veterans discharged for hardship, early out or a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty.

To find out if you are eligible for VA benfits just answer a few questions about yourself (you will be asked no more than fifteen) to learn about the VA health care benefits you could receive as an enrolled Veteran.

Afterwards, you should apply for enrollment online to receive your official determination of your enrollment benefits.

Start the process by Clicking Here to see if you are eligible for VA Benefits.

Using Medicare and TRICARE Together

If you have Medicare Part A, you must also have Medicare Part B to remain eligible for TRICARE. The only exceptions are if you have:

  • A sponsor on active duty
  • The US Family Health Plan
  • TRICARE Reserve Select
  • TRICARE Retired Reserve

If you fall into one of these categories, we don’t require you to have Medicare Part B to be eligible for TRICARE. But, we strongly encourage you to get Medicare Part B as soon as you become eligible for Medicare Part A to avoid losing TRICARE coverage in the future. >> Click Here to Learn More
